1.General duties
- 1.1Use Society systems lawfully, honestly and in line with the Code of Conduct.
- 1.2Do not attempt to access data or portal functions belonging to another member or reserved to the executive team.
- 1.3Do not upload malware, or content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringing.
- 1.4Do not misrepresent your grade of membership, your post-nominals or your certification status.
2.Automated access
- 2.1Public pages may be crawled at a courteous rate of no more than one request per second per host, honoring robots.txt and returning a contactable user agent string.
- 2.2Authenticated endpoints may not be scripted for bulk extraction. The member register is not a data source for recruitment lists.
- 2.3Denial of service, credential stuffing, enumeration of membership numbers and rate-limit evasion are prohibited and are logged and reported.
3.Generative AI
- 3.1You may use AI assistants freely in your professional work and in CPD study.
- 3.2You may not use them during a certification examination attempt, nor paste examination content into any third-party service.
- 3.3Society-published articles and course material may not be used as training data without written licence.
- 3.4Where the Society itself uses automated tooling to help triage applications, a human executive always makes the final admission decision; no membership outcome is decided solely by an automated process.
4.Enforcement
Breach may lead to suspension of portal access, voiding of examination results, termination of membership under the Complaints and Disciplinary Procedure, and referral to law enforcement where a criminal offense is suspected. We keep an audit trail of privileged and security-relevant actions to support any investigation.
