1.Commitment

A professional body that excludes disabled practitioners fails at its purpose. We target conformance with WCAG 2.2 level AA across the public site, the member portal, the application wizard and the examination runner.

2.What we do

  1. 2.1Semantic landmarks and headings, visible focus indicators and a keyboard path through every interactive control, including the full-screen application wizard and examination navigation.
  2. 2.2Color pairings checked for at least 4.5:1 contrast for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.
  3. 2.3Text alternatives on informative images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
  4. 2.4Content that reflows without horizontal scrolling to 320 CSS pixels and remains usable at 200% zoom.
  5. 2.5Time limits in examinations can be extended on request as a reasonable adjustment.

3.Known limitations

  1. 3.1The embedded OpenStreetMap on the Austin page is a third-party control with limited keyboard support; the same information is given in text beneath it.
  2. 3.2Some archived PDF documents predate our accessibility standard; we supply an accessible version on request within 5 business days.

4.Feedback and enforcement

Report an accessibility barrier to accessibility@americancomputersociety.com. We reply within 5 business days with a remedy or an interim workaround. If you are not satisfied, escalate to the Corporate Secretary, who reports accessibility complaints to the Board annually.
