1.Our position
We run no advertising network, no third-party ad pixels and no cross-site trackers. The Society's site works with only strictly necessary storage; nothing that requires consent is set before you give it.
2.Strictly necessary storage
- sb-*-auth-token (local storage)
- Signed-in session — cleared on sign out
- __Host session cookies
- Session integrity — session or 7 days
- acs-application-draft (local storage)
- Auto-saves your part-finished application — 30 days
- acs-theme (local storage)
- Remembers light or dark preference — 1 year
- __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid (Stripe)
- Payment fraud prevention on checkout pages — 1 year / 30 minutes
3.Optional storage
- 3.1Aggregate, cookieless page-view counting may be used to understand which articles and certifications are useful; it records no identifier that can single you out.
- 3.2Any future analytics or embedded media that requires consent will be presented in a consent control with a genuine reject option that is as easy to use as accept.
- 3.3Embedded maps on the Austin page are loaded from OpenStreetMap only when the page is opened and set no advertising cookie.
4.Controlling storage
- 4.1You can clear site data at any time in your browser; doing so signs you out and discards any unsent application draft.
- 4.2We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of any non-essential processing.
- 4.3Blocking strictly necessary storage will prevent sign-in, checkout and examinations from working.
