1.Candidate obligations
- 1.1Sit each attempt personally and unaided, without another person, a second device, a search engine or an AI assistant.
- 1.2Do not capture, transcribe, photograph or redistribute examination questions, case studies or answer options.
- 1.3Do not seek or use questions obtained from a previous candidate or a third-party dump site.
- 1.4Complete the attempt in one sitting; leaving the runner does not pause the assessment.
2.Question security
- 2.1Question order and answer order are randomized per candidate from a seeded permutation, so no two scripts read alike.
- 2.2Banks are rotated and refreshed, and items with anomalous response patterns are retired.
- 2.3Case-study items are refreshed on a rolling basis so recall of a single scenario confers no lasting advantage.
3.Voided attempts and appeals
- 3.1Where evidence indicates a breach, the attempt is voided, the fee is not refunded, and the matter is referred under the Complaints and Disciplinary Procedure.
- 3.2A candidate may appeal within 21 days to the Corporate Secretary, who appoints a reviewer with no prior involvement in the case.
- 3.3A certification already awarded may be withdrawn where a breach is later established, and the register is updated accordingly.
4.Standards
The pass mark for every ACS certification is 80% across a minimum of 20 items spanning recall, application and analysis, including case studies. Certificates state the syllabus version so employers can verify what was assessed.
